1st and 3rd columns, squares 8-11 are islands of 4 squares.
1st column 6th square is an island, 2nd column 7th square is an island.
Otherwise, my solution is the same. Thanks for posting these, I’ve never seen this type of puzzle before today.

Oops, it occured to me as soon as I posted it that I shouldn’t put comments with parts of the solution in them. Sorry, I’ll just email you if it happens again.
I think I’ve got an alternate solution.
